Lifestyles change over time. For example, what people used to do even 50 years back is not what is done today and the future is also sure to see a lot of change. And even in the same time period, lifestyles change from one culture to another and from one religion to another. But there are certain things that remain the same.

Bereavement

How we grieve for deceased loved ones has a lot to do with our lifestyle. In some cultures, death is a celebration for the life of one who has "passed over" into our conception of an Afterlife. In other cultures, death is the end of all things pleasant for the partner of the deceased; for example, in the Hindu faith, a woman was expected to practice suttee, or suicide, by throwing herself into the funeral pyre of her husband. Traditional Irish "wakes" for departed loved ones usually start out as a mass grief expression, but usually turns into a big party with people telling about the funny stories and happy moments with the dead.

Dating

Dating or courtship is the process of choosing and attracting a mate for companionship, sex, marriage and/or sexual reproduction. It is also the pre-arranged meeting (exclusive) of two people with mutual interest in one another to communicate with and to comprehend through shared participation in social activities. According to western tradition, a date is an occasion when one socializes with a potential lover or spouse for the purpose of being deeply acquainted with each other as also to come to an understanding whether they wish to have a purposeful relationship.

History

History is witness to the facts of how cultures have mixed with each other to create and re-create lifestyles. And this pattern has been carrying on for centuries, from one generation to another. In the earlier days, the Egyptian and the Roman civilizations had a huge impact on the world. The way Egypt and Rome dressed, the world dressed. The way they played, the world played, and the way they entertained themselves, the world followed. Their cultural influence grew as more parts of the world came in touch with these civilizations. This happened through merchants, explorations, military & diplomatic missions and others.
